Mr Andrew Nyathi, born in Tsholotsho in 1953 went to Dinyane and Mhlabangubo schools. Went to Byo in the early 70s to look for work. He picked piece jobs for some time before working for Monis Winneries which was a company run by Italian men. He then in no time joined the Food and Allied Union where eventually got elected as one of the leaders. This schooled him into politics.
Again when he was in politics he got elevated to the Youth Chairpersonship in Byo. This developed links with the rest of country. His radical stance against white supremacy caused him to be arrested and sent to Khami prison.
After his release he continued and the regime were after him and then he jumped the border and joined ZPRA forces. After combat training and political training he was deployed in the northern operation areas.

His book At A Time Such As is a must read as it provokes thought processes in a special way.
